Smoke and Mirrors Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers!

Today's blog is all about Clinique! In thirteen days I will be starting my gift with purchase which is featuring so many great items! When you purchase $31 or more you will receive a 7 piece giftset which I have a picture at the bottom of the page of what all the items are this year. It includes a designer bag from Kapitza! These designers have done designs for Gucci so we are so lucky to have these sisters design a bag for Clinique. The gift also includes: Clinique's brand new smart night cream which erases lines and wrinkles, lifts and firms, evens your skin tone and brightens your skin. You will also receive a rinse off foaming cleanser which works like make up remover and also takes off any sun screen left on your face. Most people use this wrong as a facial cleanser but no its just the first step in cleaning your face and then proceed with your regular 3 step routine. Next is dramatically different lotion this strengthens your moisture barrier. You will get a high impact mascara which is the top selling mascara! You will then get a choice of lipstick and eyeshadow palette depending on what look you want to achieve something soft or something bold. For the first time this year Clinique will have a step up gift with a purchase of $75 which is a 30ml of moisture surge which is a top selling moisturizer which feels absolutely amazing on your skin! You can also come in the store to pre order your gift to make sure you receive the items you need. Okay that was my sales pitch and now to the make up :) I put my perfectly real foundation on as always and then I used clinique's smoke and mirrors quad eyeshadow palette. I used the lightest shade in that palette as my base which is a light grey. I then used black shade to smoke my eyes on the top and I also used it under my eye with a definer brush. For my eyeliner I used Clinique's skinnystick in the shade angel hair. I wanted to switch it up a bit . most the time I use a black liquid liner almost everyday but I quite enjoy whiteliner it gives your eyes a wow factor. Next to the angel hair liner I took my pretty easy eyeliner pen in black and placed four dots below. For blush I used Clinique pop in ginger pop for a dash of pink since I'm quite pale. This gives you a nice rosy glow. For my lips the lipstick shade I used is called rasberry glacee and for lip gloss I used my long lasting gloss in love at first sight for just a touch of shine. I will be featuring many Clinique products the next few weeks to give you some ideas for the gift with purchase. I look forward to seeing you!

Glamour Eyes...

 Hello Make Up Lovers!

Well it's a brand new year and I'm excited for what this year will bring. I was meaning to post a holiday make up during the actual holidays but unfortunately I had a lot on my plate this past December so here is a brand new look for the new year and how doesn't enjoy glamour make up.  So let's start with foundation primer. I've been using Clinique's universal primer recently and really enjoy it. I find my perfectly real foundation stay longer. Next I use Clinique's chubby stick sculpting highlight in which I draw a letter C from the top of my brow and then move it downward under neath my eye. These sticks are really easy to use. For blush I used Clinique's soft pressed blusher in just pink which is very soft and gives you just enough color. For contour I actually used Lancome's blush subtil in mocha havana  . For eyeshadow primer I use Lancome's la base in nude. It works alright but I'm looking into a new eye primer just because I have more oily skin. For my base shadow I used Estee Lauder's candy crave (pink) in their Portfolio which was a great deal because you got so many eyeshadow, a eyeliner and 2 lip glosses but this was only available at Christmas. The crease color I used was smokey ember and provocative plum at the lash line. I went over the lash line with Annabelle cosmetics glitter eyeliner in Violet Venus. Okay I do not recommend this glitter eyeliner it was actually painful to get off. It felt like glue ripping off your skin and it took forever to get the pink sparkles off my eyes. So as much as it looked pretty on my eyes I think I will stay away from glitter liners . In my waterline I used Clinique's new skinny stick in the shade Angel Hair. Ever want your eye's to look more wide awake and bigger then they actually are. Then white eyeliner in your waterline is the way to go. I really like this fun trick and the product is awesome! For mascara I use my favorite Clinique's high impact extreme volume mascara . I swear by this mascara is makes my lashes look amazing! so much volume and gives that doll lashes look. Last but not least for lipstick I wanted to do something a little more daring which is ombre lips. I used Beauty Bakerie's Cranberry Stiletto Lip Whip for the outside and Tres Jolie in the middle. Okay so these lip whips are AMAZING!!! They are SMUDGE PROOF! let's say this again. Yes I said smudge proof ladies. It is extremely hard to find lipstick that will last ALL DAY that doesn't move when you eat . you know what I'm talking about when you bite into a sandwich and it looks like your dying because there's red all over that lovely sandwich. I even was giving my niece and nephew kisses right after I put the lipstick on and not a spec of color was transmitted to their cheeks. So I'm pretty much in love with these colors and this product. To remove the lipcolor you need to use an oil based make up remover . Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all the best in 2016 and I know one of my New Years resolutions will be post more blogs haha. Thank you to all who take the time to read these. I have a few fresh new ideas so I can't wait to share them with you all. Have a good night.

Pop Art Inspiration...

Hello Make Up Lovers,

Well I've always wanted to try this because for one thing I'm a bit of a comic nerd and second of all I love Pop Art! The cool thing about this look is that I only used four products. FOUR! So here we go, I started with my eyebrows. I actually used Annabelle's instaglam liquid eyeliner in abyss which is more like a black marker in my opinion. I also used this to outline my face and ear and neck and nose. Next I used Clinique's pretty easy liquid eyeliner pen around my eyes and to form my winged eyes. This is seriously my most favorite eyeliner EVER . Like it says in the name it's honestly the easiest eyeliner I've ever used. It's precision is amazing and let's you get real close to your lash line and stays on all day. No flaking, no smudging, it wonderful! I then create the pixel look with white liquid eyeliner by NYX you can put as many or as little dots as you want. I've seen some people use red dots but I find that too distracting. My favorite part of this look is the comic lips! I used Sephora's rouge cream lip stain which begins as a liquid and turns into a matte. This stays on all day! I then outlined it in black with the pretty easy eyeliner pen again and drew a line in the middle of my lips and then short vertical lines also in black. To finish it I used the white liner again to give your lips that wet glossy comic look. It also helps with the demention of the look. So It is simply that easy to re create this look! Have a good night everyone!

Flower Petal Inspired Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers,

Just letting you know that there's only 3 days left for Clinique's gift with purchase. So hurry in and grab yours today. Minimum purchase is $31 and then you receive a 7 piece giftset!!! So please come see me at the Bay for this wonderful opportunity. So this morning I was scrolling through Pinterest to get a little make up inspiration and I always enjoy seeing my favorite make up artist Linda Hallberg because she has so many ideas and lets face it she's absolutely gorgeous! Anyways it's funny how I was inspired by one of her make up posts but then as I was blow drying my hair today I was also inspired by a butterfly picture that I had taken and then looked at flower pictures and this is the look that I came up with thinking about those three things . I'm excited to share with you so many new products that I absolutely love and I hope you will love too. So the first product I want to talk to you about is Clinique's 7 day scrub. The thing that I love about this face scrub is that its so versitle. I suggest using it a few times a week so your skin will get that extra clean feeling and your skin will look amazing afterwards. But today I just used it for my lips to get rid of any dead skin leaving my lips feel nice and soft. I then used Clinique's All about lips lip treatment which deflakes, delines, and gives your lips that extra bit of moisture and smooth look also stops your lipstick from bleeding! Such a wonderful product !!! Next I tried a sample of Guerlains meteorites pearl light-diffusing perfecting primer! This primer is pretty nice it gives your skin that extra glow! Next I used my usual perfectly real foundation and all about eyes concealer by Clinique these products are staples in my beauty routine. For my eye's I placed Clinique's skinny stick in the shade angel hair on my bottom water line. Beauty tip putting white on your waterline opens up your eyes and makes them brighter! I love how smooth this product goes on and well I'm always a fan of white eyeliner! Another new product I used was Clinique's all about shadow 8-pan palette called wear everywhere pinks! I used the lightest color for my base all over the eye. In my crease I used the second lightest color in a lilac color and then I put a dark purple along my lashline all in the same palette. There is so many gorgeous colors in the palette its hard to choose which ones to pick! The dots around my eyes I formed a flower petal type shape using Clinique's pretty easy liquid eyelining pen. I could talk about this product for hours! I've been using it for the last week almost everyday and like it says in the title its the easiest liquid liner I have ever used in my life. I love that I can get right close to my lashline, I feel like I can wing my eyeliner so much better and overall have much more control of where my color is going. The most important feature of this pen is that it LASTS ALL DAY!!! I literally have to scrub it off! Seriously if you are looking for a new eyeliner try this product is will change your life! For mascara I used Clinique's High Impact Mascara. This mascara is actually growing on me. At first I was more of a high impact extreme volume fan and I still very much love that mascara but the regular high impact is nice too it makes my lashes look pretty. Next I used Clinique's sculptionary cheek contouring palette in defining pinks to give my skin a nice light glow to my cheeks. Finally for my lips I used Kat Von D's studded kiss lipstick in the shade coven. I had recently picked up Kat Von D's Mi Vida Loca lipstick giftset via sephora and this was one of the colors in the set . I love this lilac color when you want a more playful look and the cool thing about these lipsticks is that they smell like vanilla! So there you are folks for this week's blog. Again make sure you come visit me at the bay to try all these wonderful new products at Clinique counter.

Business Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers!

So I would like to start off by saying that starting tomorrow Clinique will begin our Fall Gift with Purchase at the Bay. So If you make a Clinique purchase of $31 or more you will receive a 7 piece giftset which includes the following: mild liquid face soap, loose powder, high impact mascara, smart serum, matte peony lipstick, a cosmetic bag, and your choice between repairwair uplifting cream or even better moisturizer. So be sure to come visit me at my counter to pick up a few items and I look forward to seeing you. This week's look is a nice natural look that would be great for a job interview or your everyday business look. I use Clinique's perfectly real shade 01 foundation and their all about eyes concealer. Next I used Clinique's hefty highlighter around my eyes and orbital bone in a shape of a C to give my skin a glow. After that I used Clinique's cheekpop in the shade gingerpop. I love this color because its a natural color that is good to use in every season. For my eye's I used Clinique's chubby eye sticks in bountiful beige for my base and biggest blossom for the bottom part of my lid. This gives you that next to nothing look that is nice a natural as if you weren't wearing any makeup at all. Sometimes less is more so speak . I like these sticks because they last a long time throughout the day and they don't crease. For my eyeliner I used Clinique's quickliner in intense ebony but because I used the chubby eyesticks this actually softened my eyes all together. For mascara I thought I would switch it up a bit by using Clinique's Lash Power Feathering Mascara. This is a smudge resistant mascara that lasts 24 hours and you must use warm water to remove it. So if you are looking for a mascara that will last this is a very good choice. For my lips I used Clinique's bamboo pink. I like this color because its subtle and gives you just the right about of color. I also find it lasts a long time through out the day. Last but not least I finally have tried Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow promade in medium brown. I've seen so many instagram posts with this style of brow color and it glides so smoothly on your brow. It is heat and sweat resistant and it easily smoothes and gives just the right amount of shape to your brow. So I highly recommend this product. Thank you for all the support and yes my youtube channel is still coming but I am still working out the kinks. Thank you for your patience. and Please come and see me from September 15-October 6th to pick up your gifts! :)

Smoke Show Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers!

Oh my goodness has it seriously been a month since I last posted?! Wow I am sorry. This summer has been busy with visiting family and work and all that fun stuff. I also was planning on using this week's blog to start my own youtube channel to have a closer look of exactly how I create a look. Sadly at my first attempt it didn't record properly so I will have to try another week. So this week is all about smokey eyes and of course bold lips. Some more brand new products for ya such as Smashbox's foundation primer. I never used to wear foundation primer but wow has it made a difference. Especially in these high temperatures that we have been experiencing. Before my make up use to literally melt off my face when it would get too warm . With Smashbox's primer my foundation lasts longer and goes on smoother. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and pores while imparting a matte finish. Then I use Clinique's all about eyes concealer for any blemishes . It also helps disguise dark circles and appearance of puffiness so thats always a bonus. Next is Clinique's perfectly real foundation which is always a winner in my books. I also started using Smashbox eyeshadow primer which helps your eyeshadow to stay on loner and doesn't crease. I have noticed a huge difference in the longevity of my eyeshadow and it lasts all day now. Yesterday I picked up estee lauder's pure color envy sculpting eyeshadow 5 color palette in Infamous Sky . I used the light grey for my base, the light brown as my medium shade and the navy blue for the smokey appearance. In the corner's of the inside of my eye I used Lancome's new hypnose ombre shadow sticks to brighten the eye.  I used NYX liquid liner on my lashline and Clinique's high impact mascara . This is one of Clinique's number one selling mascara. For my brow's I used Clinique's superfine browliner in soft brown to make my features more distinct. For my cheek's I used Clinique's chubbystick color balm in robust rhubarb. You want to make sure it goes all the way to the top of your ear almost to create a sculpted look. Then underneath I used Clinique's bronzer in sunkissed to contour. Last but not least For my lips I used Jeffree Star velour liquid lipstick in Blue Velvet. It starts out as a liquid and turns into a matte. I absolutely love this bold shade that will make anyone look fierce! I always love Jeffree Star products because they LAST. Well until next time!

Beach Day Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers,

So today I went out with my girlies for a fabulous beach day . So I figured I would do a blog on some simple and fun beach day make up. I was also excited to try out some of Lancome's brand new ombre hypnose stylo's ! These eyeshadow sticks are seriously the best. I've tried a few different eyeshadow sticks like the covergirl ones or the almay shadow sticks but The Lancome one's are AMAZING! I first used Lancome's hypnose stylo in shade Or Inoubliable as the base and then I shaded the rest of my eye with another stylo in Erika F, which is a gorgeous light green. I thought these stylo's would maybe crease after awhile considering I laid on the beach all day . I figured it would happen eventually but no it stayed in place and I literally had to scrub it off . So this product works so good! I used my new quickliner in intense charcoal by Clinique. I've actually have received quite a few compliments at work on this color of eyeliner. Really you can't go wrong with these eyeliners . It's a staple in my beauty routine. Next I used my favorite mascara: Clinique's high impact extreme volume mascara to give those bold lashes! Now for some glow I used my brand new chubby stick sculpting highlight stick in hefty highlight. Just to give a little bit of shimmer above the cheekbone. I'm still getting the hang of the art of contouring but this stick is pretty handy! To give my cheeks a little bit of light color I used my chubby stick color balm in robust rhubarb. Last but not least on my lips I didn't want anything too wild . After all I'm only going to the beach so I used Revlon's color stay moisture stain in miami fever. This is a beautiful color but the stain doesn't last very long. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Until next week!
